Hello everyone! We’re very excited to officially introduce SEARM Showcase 2026, or Southeast Asia Role-Playing Maker (previously known as Southeast Asia RPG Maker Showcase), now taking the form of a Steam Third-Party Event!What’s SEARM Showcase?SEARM Showcase is a celebration and digital showcase event held online, bringing together indie RPGs, especially games created with RPG Maker, from across Southeast Asia through submissions from developers.This is now our third year organizing the event, but this year marks the first time we’ve studied and experimented with hosting it as a Steam Third-Party Event!
Our goal is to help the showcase itself, as well as all the games featured within it, gain more visibility.The kinds of games this event focuses on include:Any game created with RPG Maker2D Indie RPGs / Adventure / Action / Strategy / Simulation gamesAll projects must come from Southeast Asian developers or have Southeast Asian developers involved in the projectThe origin of this event is actually quite simple.
The organizer himself is also a game developer who makes games with RPG Maker, and wanted to create a digital showcase of his own. But at the time (and honestly, even now), we weren’t well-known enough to attract people to only look at our own projects. So we decided to expand the scale of the event and bring along friends and fellow developers from all across Southeast Asia too.
If we’re going to grow, then let’s grow together And even if one day we become successful, we still won’t cancel this event… unless lightning literally strikes my house.What will the Third-Party Event offer?To be completely honest, this year’s event is still fairly simple.
It will mainly function as a collection and spotlight of featured games for now. However, developers may also take this opportunity to put their games on sale during the event period.For next year, we plan to seriously consider expanding it into a more dedicated sales event.
